“The Silent Sea” actor Gong Yoo talked about portraits of actors from his agency that were drawn by Choi Woo-sik.
Gong Yoo mentioned portraits drawn by Choi Woo-sik in an online interview which was conducted to promote Netflix’s series “The Silent Sea” (written by Park Eun-gyo, directed by Choi Hang-yong) on the afternoon of Dec 30th.
Previously, portraits of actors from Management SOOP (Gong Yoo and Choi Woo-sik’s agency) that were drawn by Choi Woo-sik were revealed through a YouTube video. In particular, Choi Woo-sik drew Gong Yoo as a dinosaur, making headlines.
Regarding this, Gong Yoo made everyone burst into laughter by saying, “No matter how much I look like a dinosaur, why am I the only one who is not a person while other actors are people?”.
He then added, “As for my reaction to the portrait, a video of the actors receiving the portraits drawn by Choi Woo-sik will be released around January, so you can check it out. I don’t know how the editing went, but I remember talking harshly to Woo-sik.”
Set in the year 2075 when depletion of natural resources has devastated Earth, “The Silent Sea”, which was released on Netflix on Dec 24th, tells the story of an elite team sent on a special mission to an abandoned research base on the moon. Gong Yoo plays the role of Han Yoon-jae, the exploration team leader who must carry out a crucial mission with limited information.
