“6/45” actor Go Kyung-pyo, “Playing a veteran sergeant… I gained weight until my jawlines disappeared”

Actor Go Kyung-pyo revealed that he gained weight to portray the role of a veteran sergeant in the new movie “6/45”.

Go Kyung-pyo attended the press conference for the movie “6/45” (directed by Park Kyu-tae), which was held at Lotte Cinema, Konkuk University Entrance in Jayang-dong, Gwangjin-gu, Seoul on July 27th. Explaining why he gained weight, he said, “After reading the scenario, I wanted the character named Chun-woo to have a warm image”.

The actor smiled and continued, “My appearance will change starting from the middle part of the movie so please look forward to it”, adding “I have to change my appearance even though my character is a veteran sergeant, but it was not too uncomfortable to shave my hair again because I gained weight properly. I tried to become fatter until my jawlines disappeared.”

Meanwhile, “6/45”, which depicts the comical encounter between South and North Korean soldiers over the 5.7 billion won lottery that crossed the Military Demarcation Line on the wind, will premiere in August.
