Go Ah Sung reveals news of having been hospitalized for 12 weeks, “Due to fractured sacrum”

Actress Go Ah Sung was injured and has been hospitalized for 12 weeks

On September 8th, Go Ah Sung shared an update on her injury through Instagram Story. She posted a photo of her arm with a patient wristband holding on to the hospital bed rail while getting an IV and added the caption, “Been hospitalized for 12 weeks. What should I do…”

Go Ah Sung released only one photo with that short caption without any more explanation of her current status. The reason why she got hospitalized has yet to be disclosed. 

However, on the same day, Go Ah Sung’s agency Keyeast explained the situation of the actress through News1. They said, “She was hospitalized to receive treatment for a fractured sacrum that occurred during a personal schedule”.

Go Ah Sung was scheduled to attend the opening ceremony of the 28th Busan Film Festival to be held next month and carry out various activities, such as stage greetings and press conferences to promote her new movie “Because I Hate Korea”. Upon receiving the news of Go Ah Sung having been hospitalized for 12 weeks, the public is worried about whether she will be able to proceed with the schedules.

Go Ah Sung debuted in 2004 as the main character of the children’s program “Oolla Boolla Blue-jjang”. Later in 2006, she appeared in Bong Joon Ho’s film “The Host” and made her name widely known to the public. The actress has also gained recognition by winning many awards. Her representative works include “Snowpiercer”, “Samjin Company English Class”, “Master of Study”, “Life on Mars”, “Tracer”, etc.
