On July 18, G.NA uploaded a short video titled “Hi Again. Chapter 2. Find My Voice.”

In the video, G.NA reflected on the years she spent away from the spotlight. "For the past several years, I watched people create stories about me from afar. Those stories never reflected who I truly am. Even so, I chose to remain silent for a long time—not because those words were true, but because I wasn't ready," she said.

She continued by explaining that silence is often misunderstood. "People often assume that staying silent means you have nothing to say. But sometimes, silence is simply what you need to endure and survive. It becomes the space necessary for healing and for waiting until you're finally ready to speak in your own voice."

Looking ahead to a new chapter in her life, G.NA shared that approaching her 40s carries special meaning. “Standing where I am today means more to me than I can fully express. I’m not trying to return to the past—I simply wanted to introduce the person I am today,” she said.

The singer added that she has become kinder to herself and is now creating from a place that feels authentic. “I’m not here to prove my worth to strangers. Music has always felt like home to me, and that’s why I’m here. This photoshoot wasn’t just another shoot—it felt like the beginning of something I’ve dreamed about for a very long time.”

She also hinted that fans would eventually hear her side of the story directly from her, rather than through sensational headlines or rumors. “When the time is right, you’ll hear my story from me—in my own voice—not through shocking headlines or baseless speculation,” she said, signaling her determination to make a comeback.

G.NA debuted in 2010 with the digital single Things I’d Like to Do with My Lover and rose to fame through hit songs including I’ll Back Off So You Can Live Better and Black & White. However, her career came to a halt in 2015 after she was accused of receiving money in exchange for sexual relations with a Korean-American businessman.

At the time, G.NA denied the allegations, insisting the relationship was based on mutual affection. However, in March 2016, she received a summary fine of 2 million won for violating South Korea’s law on the punishment of arranging prostitution, effectively ending her career in the Korean entertainment industry.

Following the controversy, G.NA relocated to Canada and stayed out of the public eye for years. In May this year, she hinted at a return through social media, writing, “I still have so much I want to say. Maybe one day I’ll finally be able to share my story completely. Until then, I’ll keep singing honestly,” raising anticipation for her long-awaited comeback.
