On May 18, G.NA drew attention online after posting a video of herself singing inside a car, showing her enjoying music again after many years away from the spotlight.

The singer emotionally shared, “Singing is one of the happiest parts of my life. For a long time, I forgot what that feeling was like, but little by little, music is helping me become myself again.”

She continued by hinting that there are still many untold stories she hopes to share someday. “I still have so much I want to say. Maybe one day I’ll finally be able to fully share my story. Until then, I’ll continue singing honestly,” she confessed.

G.NA also expressed gratitude toward fans who have continued supporting her despite the long hiatus. “Thank you to everyone who has listened to my story and stayed with me,” the singer added.

G.NA officially debuted in 2010 and rose to fame with hit songs including I’ll Back Off So You Can Live Better and Black & White, becoming one of the most popular female soloists of her generation.

However, in 2016, the singer halted all entertainment activities after being fined 2 million KRW over prostitution-related charges. At the time, G.NA denied the allegations and explained that the controversy involved a Korean-American businessman she had been dating, leading to intense public debate.

Following the scandal, G.NA settled in Canada and largely stayed away from the Korean entertainment industry for years.

Since last year, however, the singer has gradually resumed social media activity and begun reconnecting with fans, sparking growing interest in whether she may eventually make a full return to music activities.
