Recently, Japan’s Oricon News reported that “Romance Before Debut” (literal translation), a Korean-Japanese dating show, will be airing on the Japanese OTT platform Abema TV.

With this, Abema TV, which produced the popular Japanese show “Who Is the Wolf?”, will be introducing their first new original dating program that targets teenagers after about 5 years.

“Romance Before Debut” is a program that features Korean and Japanese idol trainees, who are immersed in practicing every day with the dream to debut in the Korean entertainment industry. They will live in a special dormitory in Korea for a week to achieve “the last love during their teens” prior to debut.

It is reported that Japanese trainees who participated in Korean audition programs such as Mnet’s “Girls Planet 999” and JYP’s “Nizi Project”, will appear in this program. Here, they are expected to show their authentic teenager selves and develop heart-fluttering romances.

“Romance Before Debut” will air every Thursday at 10:00 PM (KST) starting on January 26th with a total of 9 episodes.
