(G)I-DLE’s Miyeon Praised for Helping Fellow Classmate Who Was a Victim of School Violence

A post by (G)I-DLE Miyeon’s former classmate, who suffered from school violence, reveals her kindness. 

On June 10th, a post written by (G)I-DLE Miyeon’s former classmate A, who revealed that they had experienced school violence at the middle school they attended, was published in an online community.

A wrote, “I experienced severe school violence in middle school. Among the group of bullies that tormented me, one of them took my newly bought windbreaker and refused to return it. When Miyeon heard about it, she stood up for me and said to the person who took my clothes, ‘If you borrowed the clothes, you should return them quickly.’ Because of that, I managed to get my clothes back, and I still remember that.” A revealed the incident in which they received help from Miyeon.

A added, “Even in middle school, Miyeon was known for being kind. She was kind, quiet, and only close to a few people. She was really pretty. At that time, the other students were intimidated by Miyeon because they knew she was a YG trainee.”

Upon reading the post, netizens left comments such as “I like Miyeon,” “It’s not easy to help a friend, but she’s cool,” and “Miyeon is mature. She’s like a senior in school.”

Miyeon debuted in 2018 as a member of (G)I-DLE under Cube Entertainment. She recently made a comeback with the group. Starting from June 4th, in place of Red Velvet’s Joy who is on hiatus, Miyeon has been participating as a special MC for SBS’s ‘TV Animal Farm’ for 4 weeks.
