(G)I-DLE’s Miyeon and Shuhua reveal the truth about high idol salaries in a YouTube video.
On July 17th, a video featuring (G)I-DLE Miyeon and Shuhua was released on the YouTube channel ‘Workman.’
The video depicts (G)I-DLE’s Miyeon and Shuhua challenging themselves as interns in a large corporation.
After their internship experience, they had a meal with the employees and shared stories. When the employee mentioned the benefits of the corporation, such as communication expenses, welfare points, self-development expenses, and the four-day work week, Miyeon expressed envy and said, “I want to work here.”
When the employee commented, “There are too many benefits. If you don’t search for them, you might not receive them,” Miyeon humorously replied, “I’m sorry, but I’m full.” This sparked laughter.
At this point, Miyeon asked, “If Apple offered you a salary of 1 billion won, would you go?” The employee promptly replied, “Yes,” and Shuhua added, “I would go too.”
As the conversation about salaries continued, the employee asked, “Don’t idols earn more if they’re popular?” Miyeon reacted with surprise, “A salary of 1 billion won?” Shuhua raised her head and explained, “It’s a misunderstanding, everyone.”
However, Miyeon playfully added, “But Shuhua is rich.” Shuhua, in response to Miyeon’s unexpected remark, burst into laughter again.
