(G)I-DLE reveals “Queencard” comeback stage on “Music Core”, full of Y2K sentiments

Girl group (G)I-DLE (Miyeon, Minnie, Soyeon, Yuqi, Shuhua) have returned as high-teen stars with title song “Queencard”.

On May 20th, (G)I-DLE showcased their comeback stage with their new song “Queencard” on MBC’s “Show! Music Core”.

In an interview conducted before the stage, (G)I-DLE introduced their new song, saying, “’Queencard’ is a story of five ‘queencards’ who fell in love with their reflection in the mirror, conveying the message that everyone is beautiful as they are.”

During their comeback stage, (G)I-DLE revealed their unrestrained and confident charm by matching crop tops with jeans. Moreover, they captivated viewers with fashion items filled with Y2K sentiments, such as baseball caps and color sunglasses. Their performance, with high-quality melody, lyrics, and choreography, took global fans by storm.

On the other hand, (G)I-DLE’s 6th mini album, “I FEEL”, has set a personal record for the girl group by surpassing 1.1 million pre-orders. It also became (G)I-DLE’s first million-seller by selling over a million copies as of May 20th. At the same time, they have also marked their place as a global group by topping the iTunes Top Album chart in 18 regions, including Singapore, Turkey, Mexico, Thailand, and Hong Kong.

The music video and performance video of the title song “Queencard” ranked 1st and 2nd in the YouTube trending videos right after the release, proving explosive interest from fans both domestically and internationally. The pre-released track “Allergy” also opened the record march by climbing to 2nd place on the US Billboard “Hot Trending Songs Powered by Twitter” chart.

Meanwhile, (G)I-DLE plans to continue their active promotions with “Queencard”.
