(G)I-DLE Releases Noir Movie-Like MV For B-side Track “Revenge”
Girl group (G)I-DLE unveiled the music video for “Revenge” as a special gift to repay the love of Neverland
On February 16th, CUBE Entertainment released the music video of “Revenge”, a b-side song in (G)I-DLE’s second full album “2 (Two)” on the group’s official YouTube channel.
(G)I-DLDE decided to release this music video as a special gift for fans to soothe their disappointment from the regretful promotional activities of the second full album “2”. As a result, Neverland ((G)I-DLE’s fandom name) around the world gave enthusiastic responses.
The MV begins with an exploding apartment. Shuhua looks at the explosion from the other side, then Minnie, Soyeon, Yuqi and Miyeon appear sequentially, introducing (G)I-DLE’s revenge.
(G)I-DLE then showcased their passionate acting, making the MV look like a movie. With an immersive storyline, the members show off their 180-degree different charms and prove their wide acting spectrum with diverse facial expressions.
“Revenge” is an overwhelming track with a classic yet unique sound right from the intro. With the lyrics containing the message of making pain become the only join in life, the impressive beat with urgent synth sound and bass guitar riff combine to double the emotions.
(G)I-DLE is still promoting their second full album “2”. The girl group has sold more than 1.53 million copies of the album and achieved three wins on Korean music programs with their title song “Super Lady”.
