(G)I-DLE’s Miyeon is debuting as a solo artist.
(G)I-DLE’s agency Cube Entertainment said in a press release on April 6th that “Mi-yeon will return with a solo album later this month.”
Mi-yeon made a comeback with (G)I-DLE‘s first full-length album “I NEVER DIE” on March 14th. The title track “TOMBOY” created a syndrome by topping the real-time charts and digital Top 100 charts of four music sites including Melon, Genie, Bugs and Flo.
In addition, “I NEVER DIE” also ranked 58th on the “Global 200” chart, while “TOMBOY” ranked 34th on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart, which determines a song’s popularity outside of the United States. In addition, it ranked 12th on the ‘World Digital Song Sales’ chart and proved its ability as a hot topic and its global power.
Mi-yeon is a member of the group (G)I-DLE and is active as an MC for Mnet’s “M Countdown” aside from her group’s album promotion activities. She also proved her potential as an actress by appearing in web dramas “Adult Trainee” and “Delivery.”
In addition, she has appeared as a host of “Love Catcher in Seoul” and tvN D STUDIO’s “Get It Beauty Salon” and has been active in various fields, showing her ability as an all-around entertainer.
