SBS’ annual year-end music festival, ‘Gayo Daejeon’, experienced a major live broadcast mishap on December 25 at Incheon Yeongjongdo Inspire Arena. The event was aired live on SBS and featured a dazzling lineup of K-Pop stars.
The 2025 edition of Gayo Daejeon, themed “Golden Loop,” celebrated the year’s most successful K-Pop acts while anticipating a bright future for the industry. The festival featured performances from ENHYPEN, ATEEZ, TO1, TXT, BOYNEXTDOOR, CORTIS, NEXGI, KICKFLIP, TVXQ’s Yunho, Stray Kids, ZEROBASEONE, R1SE, NCT’s Taeyong, NCT DREAM, NCT WISH, aespa, IVE, LE SSERAFIM, ITZY, NMIXX, i-LILIT, Hearts2Hearts, KiKi, Miyao, IZ*ONE, and BABYMONSTER, among others. Fans were treated to hit songs as well as exclusive cover stages unique to the event.
While many performances were praised for their energy and production value, the festival was not without flaws. Several stages reportedly suffered from poor sound quality, preventing viewers from fully enjoying the live vocals.
The most notable issue occurred during the closing performance by NCT DREAM. A camera apparently toppled on stage, and the resulting distorted footage was broadcast live. Fans and viewers criticized the production team for this critical error, noting that the meticulous preparation of NCT DREAM’s stage was undermined by the technical malfunction.

Despite the high-profile lineup and impressive performances, the broadcast glitch left a lingering disappointment among viewers, highlighting the challenges of live event production at large-scale K-Pop festivals.
