BIGBANG’s G-Dragon became the talk of town as he appeared at the police station for investigation regarding rumors of alleged drug use.
On November 6th, G-Dragon officially appeared at the Nonhyeon Police Station to undergo questioning by authorities regarding allegations of drug use. Here, the male idol immediately became a hot topic as he arrived in a luxury car, maintained a confident demeanor, and even smiled during interviews with reporters.
It is known that G-Dragon once again denied the allegations of drug use, emphasizing that he did not use drugs at all, and showed up to clarify everything and cooperate with the investigation.
In addition, the male idol sent a message to his fans, saying, “Please don’t worry too much, I will be back soon.”
G-Dragon’s confident appearance and smiles has since sparked debate, with some criticizing him for allegedly being “condescending”. However, most believe this to be a reassuring act, as the confidence likely stemmed from the BIGBANG leader’s innocence.
Meanwhile, to counter the possibility of dangerous crowds gathering, a 70-member riot police force has been deployed to the Nonhyeon Police Station on the day of G-Dragon’s appearance. Additionally, 80 police officers have been stationed directly at the main entrance of the building to ensure security. Moreover, the police have decided to separate reporters from YouTubers and fans with a barrier.
On the other hand, the South Korean entertainment industry is currently facing a wave of drug investigations led by the police. The case began with the discovery of actor Lee Sun Kyun (known for his role in “Parasite”) as a VIP customer of an entertainment establishment, where he frequently used drugs at the manager’s private residence. During questioning, the female manager of this establishment allegedly mentioned G-Dragon’s name.
G-Dragon is currently suspected of using narcotics, cocaine, and a mixture of these substances. However, the BIGBANG leader has since refuted claims about drug use and willingly showed his cooperation with the police during the investigation and questioning process.
