G-Dragon Reveals He’s Crafting a New Album with Excitement after Contract Expiration with YG

BIGBANG G-Dragon’s latest pictorial has been revealed.

G-Dragon graces the cover of the July issue of fashion magazine Elle. Wearing the 2022/23 Chanel Haute Couture collection, which drew inspiration from Dakar, the capital of Senegal, G-Dragon naturally absorbed the unique energy of the collection.

After the photoshoot, an interview took place. When asked about his new album, which he is currently working on, G-Dragon replied, “As a singer, I am working with a fun and excited heart, as I have been on a long break from activities. I think I will be able to know what emotions I have and what the songs are like when they are completed. I am also looking forward to it myself.” 

Known for expressing honest lyrics and emotions, G-Dragon added, “I want to communicate through music. When I look back at the emotions I poured into my songs, there is nothing that doesn’t stem from my experiences. Music is the best way to understand who I am as a person,” showing his determination to communicate with the public as a singer-songwriter.

He added, “When I look at the iconic figures I consider, they are remembered simply as themselves regardless of the era or trends. I am also striving to become such a presence,” reflecting his status as a cultural icon.

Meanwhile, G-Dragon’s exclusive contract with YG Entertainment recently expired. As a result, there is growing interest in G-Dragon’s future activities.
