Singer G-Dragon gave clear answers to all questions surrounding his drug investigation and insisted on his innocence

On November 13th, Yonhap News TV released the exclusive interview they conducted with G-Dragon (Kwon Ji-young) last weekend. In the interview, G-Dragon revealed his position regarding various suspicions, including the drug allegations.

Regarding the reason for the interview, G-Dragon said, “I had thought a lot about it until I decided to do the interview. I gained my courage in order to prove my innocence and conveyed that to the public properly”.

In response to the direct question, “Did you take drugs?”, G-Dragon firmly said, “I didn’t do it”.

When asked about the test results, he straightforwardly stated, “Of course, it should be negative. I’ve never taken drugs or done any drug transactions, so it would be very strange if drug ingredients are detected on my body”.

As for the question asking about his relationship with the female director of the hostess bar and the doctor suspected of being a drug supplier, G-Dragon said, “I have nothing to do with the female director. I don’t even know who that doctor is. There’s nothing for me to explain the statement of the hostess bar director. As far as I know, that person has a history of drug use, so I really doubt the credibility of her statement.”

When asked whether he shaved his body before attending the police summons, the male singer said, “I haven’t bleached or dyed my hair for almost 1 year and a half since my album promotion last year. The voluntary attendance was also to prove my innocence as soon as possible. I voluntarily submitted my hair, nails, etc.”, adding “I don’t know why suspicions and misunderstandings continue to spread, but the most important question is whether I took drugs or not, so I’m trying to prove it now.”

G-Dragon also explained the reason he posted “Justice will prevail” on his SNS after the police summons. He said, “Personally, I felt complicated in many ways when I was inside the car. I felt like I needed a place to rely on. For some reason, I posted the phrase on my way back home that day because I felt a sense of comfort as if someone was soothing and comforting my heart in such situations where the truth was still unproven.”

Meanwhile, the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency is currently investigating 10 people, including Lee Sun-kyun and G-Dragon, on drug charges. Five people, including the hostess bar director, have been criminally booked, and the other five are still under internal investigation before being booked.
