Singer G-Dragon met actor Lee Jin-wook, who supported his innocence
On Dec 20th, G-Dragon shared a two-shot with Lee Jin-wook along with the caption “who you?“. Wearing hats, G-Dragon and Lee Jin-wook are facing the camera with bright smiles.
G-Dragon and Lee Jin-wook boast a special connection. Recently, G-Dragon, who has been under suspicion of drug use, uploaded a post containing the phrase “사필귀정” (no matter what happens, things will eventually return to their rightful state) after proving his innocence through a preliminary urine test that showed negative results. Lee Jin-wook supported him by liking the post.
This connection is significant as Lee Jin-wook also fought a difficult battle to prove his innocence. In 2016, he was accused of sexual assault. The investigation resulted in the accuser receiving a suspended sentence for false accusations.
In a recent interview commemorating the release of Netflix’s “Sweet Home 2”, Lee Jin-wook mentioned his public support for G-Dragon, saying, “We know each other personally. I have a private feeling of support for him.”
Meanwhile, on Dec 19th, the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency’s Drug Crime Investigation Division announced that they had decided not to hand over G-Dragon, who was booked without detention for violating the Narcotics Control Act, to prosecution.
