On the November 5 episode of MBC’s current affairs program Questions with Sohn Suk-hee 3, G-Dragon—often dubbed “a one-of-a-kind force in K-pop”—reflected on his career, music, and personal growth.
During the conversation, host Sohn Suk-hee playfully asked, “When are you getting married?” G-Dragon responded with a smile, “Marriage is something you do when it’s time. It’s a world I’ve never experienced, so I’m very curious about it.”
When Sohn complimented his glowing appearance, G-Dragon reiterated his curiosity, saying, “It really is an unknown world to me. Among my members, Taeyang got married and now has a four-year-old child. When I visit and say ‘I’m your dad’s friend,’ it feels surreal.”
He continued, “I think someday I’ll become a father too. I’m excited, but also a little nervous,” revealing his mixed emotions about this potential future chapter.
When Sohn added, “You don’t even know who’s coming yet,” G-Dragon quipped, “That’s true. But I’m the one who’ll go. If I know that, maybe someone will show up.” His witty remark drew laughter, but also hinted at his hopeful and open-hearted outlook on love and commitment.
Previously, the preview for episode 9 of MBC’s Questions with Sohn Suk-hee 3, released on October 23, teased a candid conversation where the global K-pop icon dropped a cryptic but telling comment about marriage.
In the teaser clip titled “[Episode 9 Preview] ‘When are you getting married?’ Sohn Suk-hee’s question flusters G-Dragon,” Sohn Suk-hee warmly introduced G-Dragon, saying, “Genius. His presence in K-pop is extraordinary. I’m meeting him for the first time in 10 years. Today’s guest is GD.”
During the conversation, G-Dragon noted, “I’m about to turn forty,” prompting Sohn to jokingly ask, “So, when are you getting married?” Caught slightly off guard, G-Dragon simply responded, “Soon…” before the clip cut off, withholding further elaboration. Sohn chuckled and added, “So, you had it all planned, didn’t you?” leaving fans buzzing with speculation.
G-Dragon also reflected on his personal growth, stating, “There was a pause in my life, and because of that, I could begin again with a new perspective.” When asked what he most wants to do as “Kwon Ji-yong the person,” he replied thoughtfully, “Actually, deciding to do this interview was part of that answer.”
