On October 11, Cha Hyun-seung, well-known for his work as a backup dancer for Sunmi, posted a video titled “A Day in the Life of a Leukemia Patient” on his personal channel, showing his daily routine as he undergoes treatment.

He greeted viewers by saying, “A day when my condition is good”, before giving a glimpse into his life in the hospital. Cha Hyun-seung revealed the ongoing challenges he faces, noting, “My skin keeps peeling off and healing repeatedly”, showing close-up shots of his hands with flaky, peeling skin.

In addition, he shared key blood test results including anemia, white blood cells, neutrophils, and platelets. He explained, “My neutrophils need to go up, but they aren’t stabilizing. They need to reach at least 1,000.”

Despite his illness, Cha Hyun-seung continues to document his journey. “I used to write a diary every day, but during hospitalization it was too hard, so I only recorded on my phone. Now I’m transferring everything back into a notebook,” he said, adding that reflecting on his past through journaling gives him strength.

The video portrays Cha Hyun-seung maintaining as much of his daily routine as possible while receiving treatment, from meals and walks to documenting his progress, offering fans a glimpse of his resilience.

Cha Hyun-seung has been an active performer until last year, gaining recognition as a backup dancer for Sunmi and appearing in Netflix’s reality show “Single’s Inferno” Season 1 in 2021. He publicly revealed his leukemia battle last month, receiving widespread support from fans.
