Earlier, in February of last year, suspicions were raised that April members including Kim Chaewon were bullying former member Lee Hyunjoo, sparking a serious controversy. Lee Hyunjoo claimed that during her active period as a member of April, she even attempted suicide due to the bullying by the rest of the group. As the controversy grew bigger, April officially disbanded in January of this year.

After that, Kim Chaewon has continued her legal battle over the bullying controversy. Through her YouTube channel on July 7th, she revealed the final result of the bullying controversy has been decided to be remitted. She said, “I will stop here with the legal actions.” She firmly denied the bullying allegations by saying, “My position regarding my rumors is not a lie and I can say that without shame. I will greet you with various activities and good music in the future.”
