According to CEO Jeon, he invested over 1 billion won solely in the production of FIFTY FIFTY’s music videos, and even sold the Rolex watch he had worn for 10 years and his foreign car to cover the insufficient production expenses.

In an interview with News1 on the 4th, former idol trainer In Ji Woong shared, “It’s not easy for a small and medium-sized company to invest 1 billion won in music videos. They (FIFTY FIFTY’s agency) really spent 3-4 times more than the average”.

He added, “FIFTY FIFTY’s first album failed to gain attention”, adding “Despite the difficult financial situation, the members still received group and individual training lessons, which cost up to 20-30 million won. This kind of treatment is exceptionally good.”

In Ji Woong compared FIFTY FIFTY’s situation before the contract dispute to BTS, saying “BTS is also not a group created by a large company. They endured all the hard times together from the start to get to their current position. If FIFTY FIFTY members maintained a good relationship with CEO Jeon, they could have become a female version of BTS. However, they have been blinded by greed.”

In Ji Woong firmly emphasized that the current situation of FIFTY FIFTY is something that could happen to any small company, adding “The timing of all these things, which occurred when the group gained recognition but had not made any profit yet, can be seen as an intentional tampering.”
