The body of a 24-year-old former girl group member was discovered at a hotel in Japan in a state gruesome even to homicide detectives.
On February 5th (local time), online media outlet HK01 reported that Sana Hirabayashi, a former Japanese idol, was found stabbed to death in a motel.
According to reports, Sana Hirabayashi’s body was found by the police, who were dispatched after receiving a report from a motel employee that the former idol did not answer her phone even after check-out time passed at 1:30 AM on February 3rd.
At the time of discovery, multiple stab wounds can be found on Sana Hirabayashi’s neck. The former girl group member was said to have died from excessive blood loss when she was found.
Sana Hirabayashi debuted in 2015 as a member of the Japanese idol group “aoharu since 2015”, under the stage name Ririka Hoshitani. However, she left the group after half a year and was said to be preparing to work as an actress.
As for February 6th, the police have arrested a 54-year-old man who was staying at the same motel with Sana Hirabayashi as a suspect.
The suspect was in possession of Sana Hirabayashi’s identity card at the time of arrest, and also had a knife with her blood on it.
The police are currently investigating the circumstances of the incident against the suspect, and revealed that there has been a financial problem between the two since last year.
