Following Jin, J-Hope becomes the second member of BTS to enlist 

J-Hope (Jung Ho-seok), a member of the group BTS, has entered the procedure for military service.

BTS agency Big Hit Music announced J-Hope‘s military enlistment plans through the fan communication platform Weverse on the 26th.

The agency stated, “We would like to inform our fans who always love and cherish BTS that J-Hope has started the procedures for fulfilling his mandatory military duty.”

They further stated that “J-Hope has completed his application for deferment of enlistment, and we will inform you of any further news related to his military enlistment as soon as it is determined.”

The agency added, “We ask for warm support and unchanging love until the day J-Hope fulfills his military duty and returns in good health. We will continue to provide our unwavering support and affection for our artists. Thank you.”

Upon hearing the news of J-Hope’s military enlistment, netizens expressed their disappointment but also showed their support for him. J-Hope will be the second BTS member to fulfill his mandatory military service after Jin, who enlisted in December of last year.

Netizens left comments on the online community ‘Theqoo’ expressing their sadness and support for J-Hope’s upcoming military enlistment. Some of the comments include “Oh, he’s going already?”, “J-Hope is going too. Have a safe trip”, “Oh, he’s going?”, “I thought he would stay a bit longer. My heart is shaking”, “Hoseok. You seem lonely already”, “He’s going already”, “Oh, it’s so sudden.”

Meanwhile, Jin completed five weeks of basic military training in January and is currently serving as an assistant instructor at the 5th Infantry Division’s recruit training center.
