FIFTY FIFTY member Keena will go to LA to attend the 2023 Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs)
On November 13th, agency Attrakt announced, “FIFTY FIFTY’s Keena will leave for LA on the afternoon of November 16th to attend the 2023 BBMAs scheduled for the 19th”.
FIFTY FIFTY was nominated for Top Duo/Group and Top Global K-pop Song categories at the 2023 BBMAs, which will be held in Las Vegas on the 19th (local time).
According to the agency, Keena will attend a private party on the 18th to greet and build relationships with global music officials before the award ceremony as it will be held non-face-to-face. COO Kim Se-hwang of Attrakt USA will also attend the event.
Released on February 24th this year, FIFTY FIFTY’s first single “The Beginning: Cupid” helped the girl group enter TOP 100 within 130 days after their debut. This is the fastest Billboard HOT 100 entry in K-pop history. After that, the song rose to 17th place and stayed in the chart for 25 weeks, recording the longest charting period in the history of K-pop girl groups.
Earlier in June, FIFTY FIFTY members filed an injunction against Attrakt to suspend their exclusive contract but the court rejected their application for injunction. Keena then withdrew her appeal and returned to the agency. After Keena’s comeback, Attrakt notified the remaining three members of their contract termination. Therefore, FIFTY FIFTY will recruit new members to form a group again with Keena.
