FIFTY FIFTY’s Agency’s 1 Billion Lawsuit Against Ahn Sung-il Will Start In July

The law suit filed against The Givers by ATTACK has been set for July.

According to a report by StarNews, the 33rd Civil Affairs Department of the Seoul Central District Court will hold its first hearing on the lawsuit for damages worth 1 billion won filed by ATTAKT against The Givers’ CEO Ahn Sung-il, and director Baek Jin-sil on July 11. The lawsuit was filed on September 27, 2023.

According to the complaint filed by ATTAKT, Ahn Sung-il and Baek Jin-sil not only violated the obligations of their business service contract with ATTAKT, but also caused property damage by interfering with its business and engaging in malpractice against its interests.

“In particular, Ahn Sung-il served as the main producer of ATTAKT’s new female idol development and debut project (FIFTY FIFTY) when he signed a PM (Project Management) service contract (June 1, 2021 to May 31, 2026) with ATTAKT as the CEO of The Givers, while Baek Jin-sil, as an in-house director of The Givers, has also been managing and carrying out all tasks of projects contracted under the PM service contract,” ATTAKT said.

ATTAKT added, “The amount of damage was caused by embezzlement, loss of major business opportunities such as attracting advertisements and refusing sponsorships.” ATTAKT claimed, “Their above default and illegal activities have caused direct disputes between our company and its artists,” adding, “The amount of compensation for damages is a partial amount for now and we will expand the amount of compensation during the trial process later.”

In July 2023, CEO Jeon Hong-joon of ATTKT filed a complaint with the Gangnam Police Station against Ahn Sung-il, CEO of The Givers, for alleged embezzlement in business, forgery of private documents, and exercise of counterfeit documents. CEO Ahn Sung-il was also recently sent to the prosecution in June 2023 after being found guilty of obstruction of business and damage to electronic records filed by CEO Jeon Hong-joon, and has since been sent to the prosecution after additional charges of embezzlement in business have been admitted.

Meanwhile, ATTAKT has notified members Sio, Saena, Aran of the termination of their exclusive contract after their exclusive contract dispute. Only member Keena has now returned to the company.
