FIFTY FIFTY receives first settlement “Keena will receive tens of millions of won”

Girl group FIFTY FIFTY, which has been in conflict with their agency, is receiving their first settlement payment this month

According to music industry insiders, at the end of this month, FIFTY FIFTY will undergo their first settlement as the group’s performance turns to profit. Keena, who returned to the agency alone, will receive a settlement amounting to tens of millions of won.

The first settlement for FIFTY FIFTY members this time is mainly generated from streaming revenue. It is noteworthy that, despite the lack of income from activities such as advertisements and appearances due to disputes, the group has turned a profit for the first time in 2 years, solely relying on streaming revenue.

This success is attributed to the worldwide popularity of their song “Cupid”, which made remarkable achievements on global music charts such as Billboard and Spotify. According to the overseas streaming revenue settlement system, it takes 4~9 months for settlements to be processed, and members will start receiving their earnings at the end of this month.

However, it remains to be seen whether the three members Saena, Aran and Sio, who are still embroiled in disputes with the agency since April, will practically receive their settlement. They have received notices of termination of exclusive contracts and have shown a continuous willingness to continue legal disputes with the agency.

Keena, who is receiving the first settlement, plans to continue her activities as a member of FIFTY FIFTY. With FIFTY FIFTY nominated for the “2023 Billboard Music Awards”, Keena will participate alone in the event, and a reshuffling of FIFTY FIFTY is also planned, with Keena at the center.
