Fellow Actor And Director React To Lee Sun-kyun’s Drug Scandal, “I Just Met Him A Few Days Ago”
Reactions of people around Lee Sun-kyun, who is under investigation on drug charges, have been disclosed
On October 23rd, Sports Seoul released an interview conducted with officials in the entertainment industry regarding Lee Sun-kyun’s drug scandal. Accordingly, most of the people around Lee Sun-kyun were very shocked and they all reacted, “I thought he was not someone who would do that”.
Movie director A, who is known to have a close relationship with Lee Sun-kyun, said, “We talked on the phone just a few days before the incident broke out. He didn’t show any unusual behaviors and we had a pleasant conversation as usual”, adding “I don’t understand what is happening right now. He likes alcohol but he’s not someone who would break the law. That’s why I’m scared and worried about him. I hope he can get away with it”.
Actor B, who is close to Lee Sun-kyun, shared, “We rode bicycles and worked out together a few days ago. We read the script for the new work together and he looked very healthy”, adding “I’ve known him for a long time, and he’s not the type of person who would touch drugs or anything illegal. Although it’s just my guess, I don’t think he would be addicted to such things. I was very shocked because he has always been a very reliable person”.
C, CEO of the production company who has worked with Lee Sun-kyun several times, said, “Lee Sun-kyun has a kind of ‘hero’ personality. He’s someone who will tell you right away if you do something wrong”, adding “Based ont he agency’s mention of threats, it seems that he has been involved in a complicated case. He has great affection for his family, so he has never done anything strange. I think we should wait and observe the case carefully without making hasty conclusions.”
Meanwhile, the news of top star L being under an internal investigation for drug charges was reported on October 19th. Later, L’s identity was revealed to be actor Lee Sun-kyung, causing a great shock to the public.
On the 23rd, the police criminally booked Lee Sun-kyun on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act. The actor is suspected of having taken drugs several times at acquaintances’ residences and adult entertainment establishments since January this year. The police have secured evidence regarding Lee Sun-kyun’s drug allegations and booked people related to the case.
As a result, the actor voluntarily withdrew from the drama “No Way Out”.
