Fashion Industry Insider Praises Byun Woo-seok’s Model Days “He Was Incredibly Kind”
A fashion industry insider shared their experience working with Byun Woo-seok during his modeling days
On July 5th, the insider posted several photos on Instagram with the caption, “Calling up some Byun Woo-seok photoshoots since he’s so hot these days.“
The photos, taken during Byun Woo-seok‘s past photoshoots, showcase his ability to pull off various poses, demonstrating his exceptional model presence.
The insider commented, “He worked so hard on his poses and was incredibly kind, which left a lasting impression. As I always say, model-turned-actors like Kang Dong-won, Nam Joo-hyuk, Jang Ki-yong and Byun Woo-seok were already great as models. Top models become top actors.“

Byun Woo-seok is currently receiving a lot of love through tvN’s “Lovely Runner”. Following his drama appearance, he has also been chosen as a model for various brands, including finance and cosmetics.
Born in 1991, Byun Woo-seok started his career as a model in 2010 and made his acting debut in 2016, appearing in many projects.
Fashion designer Ko Tae-yong praised Byun Woo-seok on his YouTube channel, “What I liked most about Byun Woo-seok was that, although his peers who started in the same era became actors first, Byun Woo-seok took a bit longer. During that process, he must have faced a lot of stress and confusion. Yet, whenever we met, he was always cheerful. Even during tough times, he always smiled.”
Byun Woo-seok kicked off his acting career with tvN’s “Dear My Friends” and appeared in various dramas and films in minor roles. He gained recognition through tvN’s “Search: WWW”, JTBC’s “Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency”, tvN’s “Record of Youth”, KBS2’s “Moonshine”, JTBC’s “Strong Girl Nam-soon”, Netflix’s “20th Century Girl” and the film “Soulmate”.
He solidified his status as a trending actor by playing Ryu Sun-jae in “Lovely Runner”.
Byun Woo-seok, riding on his popularity, is currently holding his first Asia tour fan meeting. Last month, he met fans in Taiwan, Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia and Singapore. He is set to meet Korean fans at the Jangchung Gymnasium in Seoul on July 6th and 7th. The tour will conclude in Hong Kong on July 14th.
