Recently, 2024 Idol Stars Athletics Championship (2024 ISAC) conducted a recording with an aim to air during the Chuseok holiday this September.
A lot of young idol groups gathered in one place to participate in sports competitions. Knowing that accidents often occured during ISAC recordings when idols played sports too enthusiatically, many fans expressed worries before the event.
As expected, several minor accidents happened this year. Although there were no serious injuries, fandoms still argued over the reasons for the accidents.
In particular, ZB1’s Park Gun-wook and NCT Wish’s Riku participated in a relay together but an accident occurred while the two were running close to each other. As such, it caused a stir between the two fandoms as some people accused Park Gun-wook of making Riku fall.

Videos of the relay spread on X (formerly Twitter). In the video, Park Gun-wook was running behind Riku. A few seconds after Park Gun-wook tripped and fell on the ground, Riku also fell. As such, NCT Wish fans complained that Park Gun-wook touched Riku and that caused Riku to fall. However, ZB1 fans argued that Park Gun-wook fell long before Riku tripped so it was impossible for Park Gun-wook to touch Riku.
As more videos spread online, some pointed out footage to prove Park Gun-wook actually touching Riku.
As the two fandoms continued to argue intensely, some showed videos of Park Gun-wook approaching Riku after the relay to apologize to stop fanwars. The two idols talked with each other pleasantly and both didn’t seem to have any injuries.
