The notice reads:

“Hello.

According to the medical team’s recommendations, they have decided to cancel all scheduled activities and are currently receiving sufficient rest and treatment.

We sincerely apologize to the fans who have been waiting for (G)I-DLE’s comeback. Future schedules will be planned with the artists’ health as the top priority, and any changes will be notified accordingly.

Once again, we ask for your understanding, and we will do our best to ensure the artists recover and manage their health to meet the fans in a good condition.”

(G)I-DLE’s exhaustive schedule since last year reveals a relentless series of events and performances, including a World Tour across Asia, North America, and Europe. The tour, which included cities like Seoul, Los Angeles, London, and Tokyo, was followed by events such as MAMA, the Jingle Ball Tour in the United States, university festivals, and year-end stages in Korea.

(G)I-DLE members reportedly took medication during concerts, and Minnie once had to leave the stage due to illness. During their preparation for Gayo Daejejeon on Dec 15, the group stage was canceled due to members’ illness. Yuqi and Minnie were supposed to have a special stage, but Minnie’s illness led to Soyeon filling in, practicing and recording until dawn.

Netizens and fans voice their concerns, pointing out the intensity of the schedule. On theqoo, netizens left comments:

Even athletes’ schedules are not this intense

It must have been really tough for the members

Is the company crazy about money?

Making people go through all that and making a comeback is crazy.

Idols are human too; the company should take it easy a bit.
