Fans complain about the ticket price of BTS Suga’s solo concert, “220,000 won VIP seats”

Suga, a member of BTS, is set to host his first solo concert, but his fandom are shocked at the ticket price.

On April 24th, Big Hit Music, the agency of BTS, announced through their fan communication community Weverse that Suga will be holding a concert. According to the announcement, Suga’s concert will take place at Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium in Songpa-gu, Seoul, from June 24th to 25th.

Fans of BTS (ARMY) were excited to hear about Suga’s solo concert but were shocked by the ticket prices. In particular, the VIP ticket price for the concert is 220,000 KRW (about 164 USD), while regular seats are priced at 165,000 KRW (around 124 USD).

VIP ticket holders, who pay 55,000 KRW more than regular seat holders, can watch the soundcheck, which takes place two hours before the show starts. VIP ticket holders can also verify their identity through dedicated fast tracks, without having to wait in long lines, as well as receive a VIP-exclusive badge.

The ticket prices for VIP and regular seats at Suga’s concert are the same as the prices for the BTS concert held in March last year at Jamsil Main Stadium in Songpa-gu, Seoul.

Meanwhile, at a concert held at the same venue by IU last year, VIP seats were priced at 165,000 KRW, R seats at 143,000 KRW, S seats at 121,000 KRW, and A seats at 99,000 KRW.

As a result, many fans reacted with concern, saying, “The prices are the same even though it’s not a full BTS concert,” “I want to go, but it’s really burdensome,” and “There are many student fans as well.”

On the other hand, there were many fans who desperately wanted to attend Suga’s concert, saying, “I can’t go because there are no seats, even if it’s expensive,” and “I hope there’s a seat for me.”

Meanwhile, Suga will be performing solo concerts in various locations around the world, starting with Belmont Park in California on April 26th, followed by New York, Rosemont, Los Angeles, Oakland, Indonesia, Japan, Thailand, Singapore, and Seoul.
