Fans Angry as LE SSERAFIM Sakura’s YouTube Channel Announces Name Change After the End of Season 1 

LE SSERAFIM Sakura’s “Don’t Be Afraid Sakura” is facing objections from fans after announcing a channel name change.

On June 14th, the YouTube channel “Don’t Be Afraid Sakura” announced the end of Season 1, “Thanks to the support and love sent by our subscribers, we were able to produce Season 1 of ‘Don’t Be Afraid Sakura’ with joy and fulfillment. The channel has allowed us to show the depth and variety qualities of Miyawaki Sakura.”

They continued, “As mentioned in the previous interview, this channel was started to showcase the various charms of K-pop idols through web entertainment. Since we are currently planning a new project after the conclusion of Season 1, we intend to introduce various contents according to our new plans after changing the channel name.”

The “Don’t Be Afraid Sakura” team stated, “Our goal is to become a channel that brings more joy and fun to subscribers who seek enjoyment through various contents. We understand that some of you may feel disappointed because of the love you have shown for ‘Don’t Be Afraid Sakura.’” 

However, they left room for Season 2, saying, “Season 2 of ‘Don’t Be Afraid Sakura’ is always waiting for Sakura, and we will come back.”

However, some fans expressed negative reactions to the channel name change explained by the “Don’t Be Afraid Sakura” team, saying, “Did you gather subscribers using Sakura’s name and then change it?

Fans commented, “Gaining subscribers as if it were her solo channel and then suddenly changing the name?” “These days, they almost do that, promote themselves individually and then change the name to the company’s name later.” “Shouldn’t they have named the channel differently from the start” “From the perspective of fans, it feels annoying,” “I thought it was a channel created by HYBE, but apparently it wasn’t.

The YouTube channel “Don’t Be Afraid Sakura” aired new videos from November 4th last year every Wednesday, where Sakura took on various challenges with various K-pop idols, actors, and entertainers.
