Fan Discontent Grows as Red Velvet’s “Chill Kill” Face Delayed Teasers and Even Spelling Errors
Red Velvet’s fans are expressing frustration as the teasers for the upcoming 3rd full album, “Chill Kill,” faced unexpected delays
RED Production, the production center affiliated with SM Entertainment, initially promised to unveil “Chill Kill” album details at midnight KST on Friday, but fans had to wait until 6 PM KST.
These album details are vital for building excitement and boosting physical album sales. Fans and even the general public eagerly anticipate these images, as Red Velvet is famous for their high-quality physical albums with visually pleasing concepts.
RED Production explained the delay on Twitter, stating that they needed extra time to enhance the quality of the album details. However, this announcement received criticism from fans.
The frustration grew when Red Velvet’s Wendy issued an apology on the messaging app Bubble for the delay, with fans feeling that this was not the idol’s fault, but the company.
Once the album details were out, they garnered much praise for their creative and beautiful packaging. These images even piqued the interest of fans of other idols.
However, fans quickly noticed major spelling errors in the group and album names such as “Red Velevet” and “Cill Kill.”. Following a delay aimed at enhancing the quality, this error has rekindled fans’ anger.
Regrettably, Red Velvet fans have faced multiple problems with management during this comeback. Prior to this, fans complained about SM posting Red Velvet’s teaser images with low quality, leading to Yeri taking matters into her own hands by sharing the high-quality teasers with fans herself.
These issues have drawn criticism to the poor management and quality control of SM. Hopefully, such mistakes won’t affect Red Velvet’s album release, which is set for November 13.
