A woman’s heartbreaking life story, involving betrayal by a famous soccer player and years of personal trauma, was shared on KBS Joy’s Ask Us Anything Fortune Teller on August 11, moving viewers to tears. In episode 328, the guest explained that she had endured severe school bullying, harassment, and repeated emotional wounds, leading her to desire a life cut off from others.
She recalled meeting a famous soccer player online, verifying his identity, and starting a relationship after several in-person meetings. However, just three months later, another woman contacted her with the message, “Your boyfriend has been hitting on me, too.” Upon confronting him, she ended the relationship, saying the experience deepened her distrust of people.
But betrayal was only part of her struggles. In middle school, she was targeted by a group of bullies who sent her abusive messages and violent threats such as, “I want to hit you with a steel pipe,” through shared online diaries and messengers.
In high school, although she avoided major conflicts, she faced disturbing encounters — including a stranger offering to buy her stockings for 20,000 won and an incident in which a disabled man, claiming it was his dream to hold a woman’s hand, crossed boundaries into inappropriate physical contact. “I offered my hand out of goodwill, but after that, I lost faith in humanity,” she said.
Her challenges continued into adulthood. At 19, while still wearing her school uniform and working at a company, she experienced workplace harassment. She recounted how, during a company dinner, the CEO — claiming to be drunk — asked to rest his head on her lap. Despite refusing, he placed his bag as a cushion and lay down anyway.
Hearing her story, MC Seo Jang Hoon offered heartfelt advice: “As you go through life, you will definitely meet people who become your source of strength. Save your emotions. If you pour out too much emotional energy, your own life will be damaged.”
