Famous actress Moon Ga Young: born to a scientist-musician family, speaks three languages

Moon Ga Young, who was born in 1996, humbly said that although she can communicate in Korean, German, and English, she’s fluent in zero language, since she’s not confident about her language level.

The actress actually debuted as a child actress in 2006 with the film “To Sir, with Love” and the drama “Fallen Angel, Jenny”, when she was just 6 years old. Apparently, her acting debut started out as a prank by her uncle, only for Ga Young to start modeling for a project and turned to full-fledged acting later. 

Interestingly, Moon Ga Young was actually born in Germany, and was said to have lived there until the age of 10. 

This is due to her parents going to Germany for their studies, falling in love, and getting married there. Her father is a physicist and her mother was a musician, creating quite the unique set of genes for Ga Young. 

For an actress, Moon Ga Young is extremely interested in sports, and would go scuba diving, horseback riding, and golfing. She aspires to become an actress who boasts intense acting prowess, and admires seniors like Angelina Jolie and Ha Ji Won. 

Moon Ga Young was not afraid to look “ugly” in her works, and managed to gain extensive popularity after the rom-com series “True Beauty”, where she starred alongside Cha Eun Woo and Hwang In Yeop.

Now, Moon Ga Young is tackling yet another acting challenge with the K-drama “Link: Eat, Love, Kill”, where she stars alongside critically acclaimed actor Yeo Jin Goo. The series is of the fantasy genre, and follows a male lead who feels the emotions and sensations of an unfamiliar woman.
