“Can you tell your parents that you’re dating a disabled?”… “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” Kang Tae-oh raged at the rude remark of his friend

“Extraordinary Attorney Woo” Kang Tae-oh exploded as soon as he heard the absurd remark about Woo Young-woo from his college friend.

In the latest episode of ENA’s Wednesday-Thursday drama “Extraordinary Attorney Woo”, Lee Joon-ho (Kang Tae-oh) was seen having a fight with a friend who doubted his love for Woo Young-woo (Park Eun-bin).

Woo Young-woo and Lee Joon-ho went on a date and began to get to know each other. The two walked along the stonewall walkway of Deoksugung Palace. While enjoying the moment, Lee Joon-ho met his college junior again. It was the junior who misunderstood that Lee Joon-ho was doing volunteer work when she saw Woo Young-woo with him.

Once again, the junior mentioned the volunteer group, which put Lee Joon-ho in a confusing situation before. However, this time, Lee Joon-ho said, “I’m on a date right now”. He then introduced Woo Young-woo, saying “I work with her. Say hi, guys.”

Later, Lee Joon-ho went to a drinking party with his college friends and juniors. A friend asked about Lee Joon-ho’s girlfriend because he didn’t see Woo Young-woo. Then another friend said, “Forget about us, but can you really tell your parents that you’re dating someone like her?”, making Lee Joon-ho feel uncomfortable. As soon as the friend said, “That’s not love. Dating a pitiful girl you want to help. That’s sympathy”, Lee Joon-ho exploded with anger.

He grabbed the collar of that friend and the two rolled on the floor of the bar. Other people tried to stop Lee Joon-ho but he couldn’t hold back his rage, saying “What do you know, you bastard?”

Meanwhile, Woo Young-woo took charge of defending Yang Jung-il (Lee Won-jung), who was arrested on charges of sexually assaulting an intellectually disabled woman.

Yang Jung-il claimed, “I and Shin Hye-young (Oh Hye-soo) truly love each other”. However, Woo Young-woo and Choi Soo-yeon (Ha Yoon-kyung) pointed out that Shin Hye-young Shin Hye-young has an intellectual disability and Yang Jung-il made her pay millions of won for dating by getting her credit card.

In response, Yang Jung-il said, “A non-disabled truly loves a disabled with an intellectual disability, is it that hard to believe? Disabled people are nice and pure. They deserved to be loved”. He then turned to Woo Young-woo and said, “You understand that, right?”.

Jung Myung-seok (Kang Ki-young) Choi Soo-yeon said, “You’d better give up on this case”, expressing their intention to withdraw. However, Woo Young-woo insisted, “I want to believe in him”, adding “I want to believe he was sincere when he said he truly loved her.”

It was then revealed that Yang Jung-il was once investigated by the police when he dated an intellectually disabled woman. Choi Soo-yeon said, “There was no sexual behavior”, adding “He was caught after spending a lot of money on a date with the girl’s card. The investigation was closed after they reached an agreement”. Disappointed by this fact, Woo Young-woo decided to withdraw.

However, victim Shin Hye-young unexpectedly said to Woo Young-woo “I love Yang Jung-il” and asked her to help Yang Jung-il so that he wouldn’t be imprisoned. Shin Hye-young confessed, “He didn’t sexually assault me”, adding “My mom made me say that”. She added, “My mom hates men. She thinks they’re all gigolo-like bastards”.

Woo Young-woo then said, “I think Yang Jung-il does seem like a gigolo-like bastard”. Shin Hye-young replied “Yes” as if she acknowledged it. When asked, “You know that, but you still love him?”, Shin Hye-young asked back, “Is that not allowed?”.

At the request of Woo Young-woo, Shin Hye-young testified at the court. She said, “I love Yang Jung-il”, and insisted that Yang Jung-il was not guilty. When asked, “Did your mother ask you to state that you were sexually assaulted?”, Shin Hye-young avoided answering and burst into tears.

The victim’s mother was angry at Woo Young-woo when she claimed, “Even disabled people have the right to love”. Shin Hye-young’s mother said, “I have to protect my daughter from this messed-up world. I have to protect her from bastards who try to take advantage of her in every way possible the second they think she’s innocent and soft!”

Later, the result of the trial was released. Yang Jung-il was eventually sentenced to two years in prison.
