“Extraordinary Attorney Woo” Joo Hyun Young: “Park Eun Bin, I’m lucky to meet you at my first drama”
Actress Joo Hyun Young, who plays Dong Geurami in “Extraordinary Attorney Woo”, expressed her gratitude to Park Eun Bin.
Recently, actress Joo Hyun Young had an interview with TV Daily in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, where she discussed various stories about the ENA Wednesday-Thursday K-drama “Extraordinary Attorney Woo”, which concluded on August 18th.
“Extraordinary Attorney Woo” follows the lawyer Woo Young Woo (Park Eun Bin), who has a genius brain and autism spectrum disorder simultaneously, and her struggles and stories in the professional world. In the series, Joo Hyun Young assumed the role of Woo Young Woo’s best friend, Dong Geurami.
Unlike her image as a funny reporter on SNL Korea and “crazy” Dong Geurami in “Extraordinary Attorney Woo”, Joo Hyun Young actually had a calm demeanor. In fact, the actress called herself a worrywart, who is cautious about everything related to acting, and thus struggled a lot to strike a balance between her true self and the carefree Dong Geurami.
According to Joo Hyun Young, Park Eun Bin, who played the role of female lead Woo Young Woo, was a great help to her.
“I think I was really lucky to have met someone like her as a partner for my first drama. Eun Bin has a lot of experience, so she taught me a lot of technical aspects. She told me even the smallest details like what face angle I should have, how the lighting was, how the sound was, and how to come out well on camera“, the actress disclosed.
Joo Hyun Young then continued to shower Park Eun Bin with praise, saying: “She didn’t do it out of a sense of duty, but instead was truly considerate and sincere. She never seemed bothered and told me to ask questions at any time, and accepted everything I did as ‘Dong Geuramo’. She always said that we can do better, and I think that was a good mindset.”
“My first shoot was at the pub, and I didn’t like my acting”, Joo Hyun Young continued, “I think it was too much, so I tried to monitor it, but Eun Bin told me not to. Instead, she gave me relief by praising my acting and comforting me.”
