On Jan 29th, Xiumin’s agency INB100 announced, “Xiumin will appear as the protagonist Heo Gyun in the new drama ‘Heo Restaurant’, which is scheduled to air in 2024.”
“Heo Restaurant” is a fantasy romance comedy drama that follows the story of Heo Gyun, a problematic figure from the Joseon Dynasty who travels to the modern era 400 years later and unintentionally runs a restaurant. Based on the web novel of the same name by Jeon Seon-young, anticipation is rising even more with the confirmation of Xiumin’s appearance.
In the drama, Xiumin will take on the role of Heo Gyun, a certified genius endowed with exquisite writing skills and exceptional aesthetic sense, leading the entire production. He will portray Heo Gyun’s lively charm as well as his dimensional adaptation to modern life after the time slip. Xiumin’s chemistry with Chu So-jung, Lee Se-on and Lee Soo-min is also anticipated.
Xiumin showcased his talent in last year’s TVING series “CEO-dol Mart” and won the “Acting Idol (Male)” award at the “2024 Korea First Brand Awards” earlier this year.
