EXO’s Suho to reportedly star in MBN’s ‘The Crown Prince Has Disappeared’ “First attempt at historical drama”

According to SM Entertainment on Jan 3rd, Suho will be joining the cast of MBN’s new drama “The Crown Prince Has Disappeared”.

“The Crown Prince Has Disappeared” is a Joseon-era version of a romantic comedy about a crown prince who is kidnapped by a woman who is set to become his wife. While on the run for their lives, romance blossoms between the two. Suho will take on the role of the protagonist Yi Geon, attempting another transformation in his acting career.

Directed by Kim Jin-man, known for works like “The Greatest Love”, “Kill Me, Heal Me”, “Rebel: Thief Who Stole the People” and written by Kim Ji-soo and Park Chul, who penned “Bossam: Steal the Fate”, “The Crown Prince Has Disappeared” has already garnered attention. It is scheduled to air in the first half of 2024.

Through “The Crown Prince Has Disappeared”, Suho will make his first attempt at a historical drama, raising anticipation for how he will surprise viewers this time.

In 2023, Suho actively engaged in both musicals and dramas, such as the musical “Mozart!”, JTBC’s drama “Behind Your Touch” and tvN’s drama “Arthdal Chronicles: The Sword of Aramun”. In “Behind Your Touch”, he played the role of Kim Seon-woo, a mysterious and handsome convenience store worker, contributing to the work’s suspenseful atmosphere by holding the key to the serial murder case.

As proof of his accomplishments, Suho received “Best Emotive Award – Actor” and “Best Acting Performance Award” at the 2023 Asia Artist Awards IN THE PHILIPPINES held in the Philippines on Dec 14th, 2023.

In 2024, starting with “The Crown Prince Has Disappeared” (working title), Suho is expected to showcase active acting activities once again, proving his presence as a versatile entertainer.
