On February 7, it is reported that EXO’s Chanyeol will star in Netflix’s upcoming K-drama “The Frog” (literal title “Alone in the Woods”). This is a horror and mystery series that follows a hostel owner, whose life started to collapse after a mysterious woman appeared in their hostel in the summer.
According to articles, actors Kim Yun-seok, Yoon Kye-sang, and Go Min-si will participate in the series, and EXO’s Chanyeol will play a core character to the plot of “The Frog”.
“The Frog” has completed filming at the end of 2023 and is currently undergoing post-production. It is scheduled to be released in the later half of 2024.
On the other hand, immediately after the news of Chanyeol’s upcoming drama was revealed, related topics have trended on Chinese SNS platform Weibo in both the Hot Search and the Entertainment section with over 10 million views.
