EXO’s leader Suho will return to the small screen after 4 years with “Hip” (working title).
According to Joy News 24 on Sep 13th, Suho recently confirmed his appearance in the new drama “Hip” (working title/directed by Kim Seok-yoon, written by Lee Nam-gyu). The filming will begin soon after the script reading.
Suho will work with Han Ji-min and Lee Min-ki, who announced the casting news earlier. With this, Suho is raising expectations as he will return to the small screen after 4 years since MBN’s “Rich Man” (2018).
Suho, who debuted in the music industry as EXO’s leader in 2012, has established himself as an actor by appearing in KBS’ “Prime Minister & I”, MBC’s “Three Color Fantasy-The Universe’s Star”, web drama “How Are U Bread”, MBN’s “Rich Man”, movies “One Way Trip”, “Middle School Girl A” and “The Present”. He also showed off his ability as a musical actor through musicals “The Last Kiss”, “The Man Who Laughs” and was active as a multi-tainer.
Suho, who met the public with his second mini-album “Grey Suit” in April after being discharged in February, recently confirmed his appearance on SBS’ entertainment show “If I Go Once”. He finished filming in Australia with his alumni at Korea National University of Arts, including Lee Kyu-hyung, Lee Sang-yi, Lee Yoo-young, Lim Ji-yeon and Cha Seo-won. The program is scheduled for October.
Expectations are high for Suho, who will show his true value not only in singing activities but also in dramas and variety shows.
“Hip” will begin production with the goal of airing on JTBC in 2023.
