This album is a new album after 2 years and 1 month since the special album “DON’T FIGHT THE FEELING” in June 2021. This is also EXO’s first full-length album in 3 years and 8 months since their 6th album “OBSESSION” in November 2019.

Currently, EXO Chen, Baekhyun and Xiumin are in a legal battle against SM Entertainment, stating that SM did not disclose the settlement data transparently and forced a slave contract. They filed a complaint against SM to the Fair Trade Commission for “abuse of superior position”. SM Entertainment is claiming that a third party intervened and misled the members.
