According to the police on August 29th, the Seoul Bangbae Police Station is currently investigating after receiving a complaint in June regarding Taeil’s alleged involvement in a sexual crime.
The victim is reportedly an adult woman, and Taeil is currently under investigation following the complaint in June. SM Entertainment officially acknowledged the situation.
NCT 127, the sub-group to which Taeil belonged, released their 6th full album “WALK” in July. Taeil, who had been recovering from a motorcycle accident and subsequent surgery on his right thigh, participated in the album’s recording, music video and various promotional activities but did not join in offline performances like music shows.
However, during NCT 127’s 8th-anniversary fan meeting held at the Jamsil Arena in Songpa-gu, Seoul on August 3rd~4th, Taeil joined the members on stage to meet fans. At the time, he expressed, “After not being able to perform together due to my (motorcycle) accident, being here now with the fans and members has made me realize so many feelings I didn’t know before. I feel more grateful and cherish these moments. I hope we can continue to share these times together for a long time.”
With the revelation that Taeil appeared at the fan meeting in August after being booked due to sex crime allegations in June, accusations are now emerging that he deceived his fans.
