Ex-B.A.P Himchan, second charge of forced harassment…”I’m reaching an agreement with the foreign victim”

Former B.A.P member Himchan (real name Kim Himchan), who was indicted on charges of forced harassment, stood in court. 

On the morning of May 17th, the second trial for Himchan was held at Seoul Western District Prosecutors’ Office. Himchan, who is in prison after being sentenced to 10 months in prison for another forced harassment case, appeared in court in a prison uniform.

Himchan said, “I admitted all the charges at the time of the first trial and I’m trying to reach agreements with the victims.”

He added, “I paid 10 million won and reached an agreement with one of the victims. I’m also in the process of reaching an agreement with the foreign victim.”

Himchan is accused of forcibly molesting two women on the stairs outside a pub in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul in April last year.

This is the second time that Himchan has stood in court on charges of sexual harassment. He was put on trial for sexually assaulting a woman in her 20s at a pension in Namyangju, Gyeonggi-do in 2018.

Himchan’s third trial on charges of forced harassment will be held on July 5th.
