EVERGLOW’s stylists accused by a Chinese fashion brand of plagiarizing a custom design

The styling team of EVERGLOW is under controversy over alleged plagiarism.

Plagiarism in Korea’s entertainment industry is not a new issue. Recently, WINDOWSEN – a well-known fashion brand from China publicly called out the styling team of EVERGLOW for plagiarising their design. The brand representative wrote on their latest Instagram post: “We noticed that a ‘WINDOWSEN’ corset was featured in EVERGLOW’s new music video ‘Pirate’. It was never supposed to happen because the corset was a custom piece I created for Jolin Tsai’s Ugly Beauty Tour in 2020. Plagiarism is simply wrong and unacceptable.”

Strongly condemning the act of plagiarising, WINDOWSEN at the same time requested the girl group’s management company to remove all of the images and scenes with their design appearing in the MV, and at the same time demanded the company and their stylist team to take responsibility for the incident. Currently, Everglow‘s side has not yet issued a response.
