The latest episode of MBC’s “Radio Star,” which aired on July 10, was a special “Godmotherland” featuring Sunwoo Yongnyu, Jung Young-joo, Jung Ji-sun and Honey J as guests.
Jung Young-joo, who played the role of Park Bok-soon, the mother of the female protagonist Im Sol (Kim Hye-yoon) in “Lovely Runner,” appeared on “Radio Star” for the first time in more than two years.
In this episode, host Jang Do-yeon asked Jung, “Did you see the rumors of “Sol Seon-jae couple? There were rumors that Byun Woo-suk and Kim Hye-yoon were actually dating.”
In response, Jung Young-joo said, “Byun Woo-seok had a hard time trying to act emotionally in the beginning. It must have been difficult because he had several emotional scenes.”
“He had a lot of worries about the scenes with Kim Hye-yoon as well, so I told him, ‘You can just try liking her in real life.’ And he asked me, ‘Really like her?’ and I said, ‘Just try'”
Byun said, “Should I?” to Jung Young-joo’s advice. “I saw your faces, which look as if you two really liked each other,” Jung told him. “Byun said in an interview that his ideal type was a small, bright, and wise girl, which is close to Kim Hye-yoon. So I told them, “Hey, just go out with each other.”
“I think Sol and Seon-jae really liked each other at that moment. They really cared about each other,” added Jung Young-joo.
