Eric Nam, Youn Yuh-jung’s son’s friend… “Thank you for your kindness during the interview 10 years ago” (Unexpected Journey)
Eric Nam made a surprise appearance as a friend of Youn Yuh-jung’s son.
On tvN’s “Unexpected Journey” which aired on June 5th, Youn Yuh-jung met her second son’s friend Eric Nam.
On this day’s broadcast, singer Eric Nam and his younger brother Eddie Nam met actress Youn Yuh-jung as friends of her son. Eric Nam said, “I went to Korea for the first time in 2011. I first met Youn Yuh-jung in an interview 10 years ago.”
Youn Yuh-jung said, “I don’t remember seeing him.” However, Eric Nam recalled interviewing Youn Yuh-jung as a reporter at that time, “It was the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures. There was an after-party, and that was the first time I saw her. I wanted to tell her about this when we meet someday, and finally I had a chance.”
Youn Yuh-jung inferred that she must have been kind to Eric Nam, who is not good at Korean like her son, “I’m usually not kind to anyone. But I said he did it nicely. I was surprised at myself. I’m not that kind of person. It seems that he can’t speak Korean. My son can’t speak Korean either.”
Eric Nam replied “I’m still very grateful” and thanked Youn Yuh-jung for her kindness to him, who was a reporter with poor Korean 10 years ago.
