According to the legal community, the first trial of A, charged with violating the Narcotics Control Act for the use of psychotropic drugs and marijuana, will take place at 10:10 AM on Dec 15th. The trial will be presided over by Judge Hyun Seon-hye of the Incheon District Court’s Criminal Division 10.
A submitted letters of apology to the court twice on Nov 13th and 14th after being indicted. A’s legal representative submitted a request for a postponement of the trial along with an opinion letter on Dec 11th, but the court did not accept.

A is accused of using drugs, including philopon and marijuana, in an officetel in Seoul this year.
In particular, A is under investigation for allegedly extorting 350 million won from Lee Sun-kyun in a drug-related case.
Earlier, during police questioning, A claimed “I received 300 million won in cash (from Lee)” and that she also received threats from B. A stated, “I was threatened through SNS by someone who doubted my relationship with Lee Sun-kyun. I don’t know who B is.”
However, B’s whereabouts are unknown. The police are not ruling out the possibility that A fabricated an imaginary person and made false statements.
According to MBC’s “True Story Expedition”, on Sep 14th, A sent a message to Lee Sun-kyun, saying, “An anonymous person hacked my smartwatch. I’m being threatened.” The blackmailer demanded 100 million won, but A received 350 million won from Lee Sun-kyun.

A close associate of Lee Sun-kyun, who personally delivered the cash to A, said, “We think A used the money.” The argument was that A, not the blackmailer, was the one who ultimately received the money.
In fact, A consistently exhibited a relaxed attitude in the messages exchanged with the blackmailer, casting doubt on the possibility of a self-fabricated scenario.
Meanwhile, the police plan to investigate Lee Sun-kyun’s drug use allegations further once B’s identity is confirmed and the outline of the extortion case becomes clearer.
