It seems that YG is letting BLACKPINK be active in the fashion field for so long that they’ve forgotten that these 4 golden girls are also… singers. It has been almost 2 years since the MV Lovesick Girls was released, but it seems that BLACKPINK still has no sign of returning to the music field. 

Getting used to the ”hibernation” phase of the idols, fans can only listen to the old albums over and over again and accidentally create new records. Recently, the song You Never Know of the album THE ALBUM officially reached 100 million streams on Spotify. This is BLACKPINK’s 21st song to reach this milestone.

Thus, BLACKPINK has become the first girl group in the history to own an album with all songs hitting 100 million streams on this platform. THE ALBUM is the group’s first full album released in October 2020.  Despite not promoting for a long time, BLACKPINK still continuously creates new records, making fans look forward to the girls’ comeback even more.
