Drunk Driving, Fake Part-time Job, Smoking, etc: Self-made Dating Rumor Is Not Kim Sae-ron’s Only Scandal

Actress Kim Sae-ron became the center of attention after posting a photo with Kim Soo-hyun and quickly deleted it

Kim Sae-ron reportedly posted an intimate photo of herself and actor Kim Soo-hyun on her Instagram story at 1 a.m. on March 24. The photo was quickly deleted but still became viral on SNS and online communities, raising dating rumors of the two.

Kim Soo-hyun’s agency denied the rumors on the same day, saying, “The photo that is spread online appear to have been taken when they were in the same agency in the past, and we don’t know the intention of Kim Sae-ron’s behavior.”

This is not the only scandal Kim Sae-ron has got herself into. In May 2022, Kim was put on trial for drunk driving, ruining road facilities and then fleeing the scene. The actress was fined 20 million won and got her contract with Gold Medalist terminated. After the contract was terminated, Kim Sae-ron was criticized for having no self-reflection as she appeared in the music video of “Bitter Sweet” by EI brothers.

In fact, after the controversy over drunk driving, Kim posted a photo on her Instagram with an electronic cigarette placed on the top of a drawing. Kim deleted the post at the speed of light, but netizens were quick to capture it and she was criticized again.

After 6 months of hiatus after the drunk driving scandal, Kim shared a photo of herself working part-time at a cafe to earn money to take care of her family. Kim said at that time that she was financially exhausted after paying off advertising and filming contract fines as well as compensating for damages to those affected by the accident. However, not long after, Kim Sae-ron was exposed for lying and pretending to be poor. She was caught by Dispatch while happily playing poker with friends. Not to mention, despite complaining about not having money, Kim Sae-ron still went to court with 6 defense lawyers. Notably, the fee she had to pay to each lawyer was about 10 million won. As her image went downhill, KBS even put Kim Sae-ron on the list of artists banned from broadcasting
