Dreamcatcher was announced a music show winner for the first time since their debut.
On April 20th, surpassing strong nominees namely BIGBANG’s ‘Still Life’, IVE’s ‘LOVE DIVE’, Onew’s ‘DICE’, and DKZ’s ‘Cupid’, Dreamcatcher won No.1 on MBC’s ‘Show! Champion’ with ‘MAISON‘, the title track of their 2nd full album ‘Apocalypse: Save Us’. The moment they were announced the winner, Dreamcatcher members could not believe the result and burst into tears.
In fact, it took Dreamcatcher a total of 1924 days since their debut on January 13, 2017, to get a music show win. Therefore, this trophy is extremely meaningful for both the group and their fans.
After over 5 years and 3 months, during their first acceptance speech and encore stage, Dreamcatcher members could not hold back their tears in indescribable joy, making fans cry as well. Member Siyeon expressed gratitude for fans, saying, “We are here because Insomnia exists. We will not forget that and work hard for the rest of our lives.”
